Reviving Beauty

I have always had a passion for textiles, fabrics, design and colour.

After studying for a knitwear degree at Nottingham, I went on to work as a designer in the fashion industry and eventually expanded my skills by adding on qualifications in Upholstery.

I have been using these skills, working on many different projects and running courses in upholstery for over 20 years.

I love bringing aging pieces to life by using new fabrics and colour!

What is upholstery?

Upholstery is breathing new life into furniture.

Traditional upholstery uses traditional materials like coil springs, animal hair, straw and hay, and uses hand sewn techniques.

We can use traditional methods in addition to modern techniques, and we look at affordable, sustainable and contemporary materials. This allows a more expansive range of elements which can be layered together to create the desired effect.

Our pricing reflects the method of upholstery your design needs. This does vary as it is more time-consuming to use traditional techniques

Why Design?

The spaces we inhabit greatly influence our mental state. Design, colour, fabric and textures can promote a sense of belonging and connection.

What Fabrics?

In a commercial setting, fabrics and fillings have to conform to required standards. We know finding sustainable commercial fabric is a challenge and can be expensive. We can eliminate some of the cost by using bolt-ends and end of lines to stop landfill.
